About the Project
This project is the cartoon creation. It was specially crafted for the Company called Mindvalley as a part of hiring process. The company required to record a video cover letter about the candidate, simply speaking in a 3-minute video and telling about the candidate’s mission in life and how he/she grows yourself each day on the path towards it.
Making a cartoon can be a long, complicated process, but if there is a strong enough desire to see your own stories on display in animated form, the end result can be well worth the work. I wanted to accomplish this requirement in a more unique way and decided to make a 2D cartoon in Flash.
I dived into a new world of animation and tried myself as a story producer.
Before making a cartoon, the process required a proper preparation of assets and clear concept.
Making this cartoon, I was thinking what character traits I would like to emphasise and see in a protagonist. Scriptwriting and storyboarding were the important steps to jot down a basic narrative of events and divide story into main parts. I made tons of sketches for each change in action, learned a lot of techniques and gained a set of new skills.
Though, the video-cover letter was only one of the steps of the job application, but it made me closer to the Mindvalley tribe.
